Explore the varied Central Andean landscapes of the pristine Santuario de Flora y Fauna de Iguaque. Ascend through Andean forest and its diverse nature onwards to páramo landscapes and the mystical Laguna Sagrada de Iguaque, heart of ancient Muísca confederation culture.
Itinerary: You will be met at your property in the town of Villa de Leyva. You will be transferred to Iguaque, a journey of approximately 50 minutes. Commencing the hike at 2900m above sea level, you ascend to 3700m above sea level, an elevation gain of 800m. The hike is demanding and lasts 6-7 hours. Afterwards you will be returned to your start point.
Duration: This tour lasts 8-9 hours.

Our website will allow you to enter any address into the pick up location field but please bear in mind that if you are staying in a hotel and it does not automatically complete the name, this is probably because we were unable to determine the correct address and you might also have the incorrect address.
Remote hotels
Some of our tours do not require transport, some tours have different prices depending on where you book them from.
Hotels sometimes seek to capitalise on their proximity to certain locations by claiming to be in towns and cities when they are not within walking distance. For example, a hotel claiming to be in Salento could be on the Autopista del Café.
Please check a map before booking. If you book a walking tour from a location that requires transport your tour will fail our validation checks. Likewise if you book a tour from one area but your hotel is in a different area.

Some tours will allow you to select a local airport as the pick-up location and these tours have been configured with inbound and outbound flights. Simply select your flights from the list. Choosing “None” will allow you to enter the details of a hotel in the same city.
