This is the ideal tour for those wanting a beach day from the city of Cartagena. It offers a pristine beach, turquoise waters and a tranquil location.
Details
Itinerary: You will be picked up from your defined pick up location by a driver. Your transfer to Isla Barú will depend on the chosen option, upon arrival you will be welcomed with a cool fruit punch. The day is yours to enjoy as you wish, take advantage of Hotel Aura‘s private beach, sport and changing facilities, Bar Barulero and Matamba restaurant. At the end of the day you will be returned to your start point according to your chosen transport option.
Some additional activities such as snorkelling are not included but can be arranged and paid for at Hotel Aura.
Duration: This tour is approximately 8 hours.
Start time: All listed options are feasible.
Guide: This tour is unguided. Drivers and motor launch pilots will be Spanish speaking.
Meals: A typical Caribbean 3 course lunch with fruit juice is included.
Transport: By sea: Transport from your hotel to the dock is included, marine transfers are included, transport back to your start point is included. By land: Return transport from your property in Cartagena to Isla Barú is included.
Entrances: Not applicable
Taxes: This destination is in a national park that imposes a tax of COP$18,500 for guests arriving by boat. The tax will be paid on your behalf.
Tour options
This tour has options to go overland or in a rapid motor launch.
By land: You will be transferred each way to Hotel Aura by road. The ideal option for those without sea legs. The transfer time is approximately 90 minutes each way.
By sea: You will be taken to the dock at Bahía Manga. Your marine transfer is approximately 45 minutes. At the end of the day you will be returned to Bahía Manga by motor launch from where you will be taken back to your start point.
Your scheduled return time is 15h30 but this might be varied due to weather and sea conditions.

Some of our tours do not require transport, some tours have different prices depending on where you book them from.
Hotels sometimes seek to capitalise on their proximity to certain locations by claiming to be in towns and cities when they are not within walking distance. For example, a hotel claiming to be in Salento could be on the Autopista del Café.
Please check a map before booking. If you book a walking tour from a location that requires transport your tour will fail our validation checks. Likewise if you book a tour from one area but your hotel is in a different area.
