About your Avianca flights

In the event of flights being oversold, passengers will be involuntarily denied boarding. For clients that are on a multiple city itinerary with booked transfers, accommodation and activities, this can obviously impact the smooth running of your trip. Ideally we do not want you to arrive on a later flight or the next day.

About online check-in

Online check-in minimises the likelihood of your being bumped from your flights and we request your comprehension and cooperation. Online check-in will also allow you to choose your seats and ensure that you are sat together as a group.

Online check-in is possible up to 24 hours before your flight. We appreciate that some parts of Colombia have less than stable internet connections and often your itinerary will have minimal downtime. We understand this and recommend you check-in online as soon as is possible within the 24 hour window.

Online check-in works from PC’s, tablets and there is also a responsive site specifically designed for smartphones. Apple users are also able to download a mobile boarding pass to Apple Wallet, although this option is not recommended for groups.

It is not necessary to have access to a printer. It is more important to confirm that you are travelling so as to avoid involuntary denial of boarding. Your boarding passes can still be printed out at the airport by going to the check in counter as normal

How to check in online

1) Visit the following link https://checkinnew.avianca.com/Check-In

2) Find your flight using the Use My Booking Reference option and the date

3) Click Continue and complete your personal information

Your booking reference is shown in the Flight Schedule section of your final tour plan

If a lead passenger is requested then this will be the person with whom we have been communicating to organise your tour. This is also the person named in the filename of your final tour plan.
